When Ben Tansley, owner of Heros Gym in King’s Lynn, got in touch, he knew exactly what he wanted: images that captured the raw energy of his gym and the community he had built inside it. As a King’s Lynn branding photographer, my role was to create authentic imagery that reflected the personality of the business while helping strengthen its online presence across its website and marketing materials.
Heroes Gym is not your average gym. It is a space built on effort, community and identity, and the photography needed to reflect that from the moment someone landed on the site.

Before we picked up a camera, we talked about who Heros was for and what Ben wanted people to feel when they saw the images. As a King’s Lynn branding photographer, understanding a business before the shoot is just as important as taking the photographs themselves.
We planned a mix of shots. A strong portrait of Ben himself, the face of the brand, alongside action images of members training. The gym environment became part of the story, with the dark industrial space, smoke, and professional lighting working together to create a visual identity that felt instantly recognisable.
A strong personal brand is about more than a headshot. It is about showing the energy, confidence and character behind the business.
For this Heros Gym branding session, we wanted to capture more than just how Ben and Erin looked. We wanted to show the commitment, discipline and passion that clients experience when they walk through the doors.
As a King’s Lynn branding photographer, I always look for moments that feel authentic to the person and the business. Whether that’s lifting weights, coaching clients or simply being in their element, these images help tell a story that connects with potential customers long before they make an enquiry.
For a gym owner, that means presence. Confidence. Someone you trust to push you when it matters.
One of the most important things a gym brand shoot can do is show real training, not staged poses. As a King’s Lynn branding photographer, I wanted to capture the authentic atmosphere inside Heros Gym by photographing members working on cable machines, performing barbell work, flipping tyres and pushing through challenging lifts. The goal was to showcase the range of what Heroes offers while creating natural imagery that reflects the gym’s culture, community and commitment to results.
The members we photographed brought genuine intensity to every frame, and that cannot be faked.
We also captured a group shot of the Heros team, trainers and members together in the gym environment. For any business, showing the people behind the brand builds the kind of trust that converts visitors into clients.
When someone lands on a gym website and sees a team that looks like this, they are not wondering whether the place is serious. They already know.
If you are a business owner in King’s Lynn or the wider West Norfolk area, professional brand photography is one of the highest-return investments you can make in your marketing. Your website, social media, and advertising all rely on imagery that represents you at your best.
Stock photos do not do that. A brand shoot does.
As a kings lynn branding photographer, I work with businesses of all types, gyms, personal trainers, hospitality, retail, and service businesses, to create imagery that is built around your brand, your people, and what makes you different.
The final gallery gave Heros Gym a library of professional images that could be used across their website, social media and marketing materials. As a King’s Lynn branding photographer, helping businesses create long-term marketing assets is always the goal.
Many of the photographs from this session are now featured throughout the Heros Gym website, helping create a consistent and professional brand identity online. Rather than relying on stock imagery, Ben now has authentic photographs that showcase the gym, its trainers and the atmosphere members experience every day. Strong branding photography helps businesses build trust, make a memorable first impression and stand out from their competitors.
A brand shoot typically includes a pre-shoot planning call, a full photography session tailored to your business, and professionally edited images delivered in high resolution sized for both web and print use. Everything is built around your brand identity, your people, and the story you want to tell.
Most brand shoots run between two and four hours, depending on the number of locations, subjects, and variety of shots required. For larger teams or multi-location shoots, a full day may be more appropriate.
Yes. We offer combined photography and video packages, so you can walk away with both a full set of brand images and a brand film from a single shoot day. This is the most efficient way to build a complete content library for your business.
The first step is a free zoom/google meet call where we talk through your brand, your goals, and what you need from the shoot. Once we agree a date, a deposit secures your booking, with the remaining balance due one to two weeks before shoot day.
We will have a full planning conversation before the shoot to discuss your brand, your goals, and any specific shots you need. From there, we advise on wardrobe, location preparation, and how to brief any team members involved.
Yes. While we are based in Norfolk and regularly work in King's Lynn and the surrounding area, we cover brand shoots across East Anglia, Essex, London, and beyond.
