Lilija, who is Lithuanian, and Pedro, who is Portuguese, celebrated their marriage surrounded by their closest family and friends in an intimate micro wedding at Orton Hall. With only around 12 to 14 guests in attendance, every person present played an important role in the day.
The atmosphere was relaxed, personal, and full of genuine emotion. Rather than a large-scale wedding, the couple chose to focus on meaningful moments with the people who matter most.

An Emotional Ceremony at Orton Hall
Lilija looked absolutely stunning in her wedding gown. Elegant and vibrant, she brought a calm confidence to the entire day and looked incredible throughout the celebrations.
Pedro looked equally sharp and ready for the occasion, although a few nerves naturally appeared as the ceremony approached. As their guests gathered to witness the occasion, the excitement and anticipation could be felt throughout the room.
Watching them exchange their vows surrounded by their closest loved ones was a reminder that some of the most memorable weddings are often the most intimate.

A Meaningful Lithuanian Wedding Tradition
One of the most memorable moments of the day was a beautiful tradition from Lilia’s Lithuanian heritage.
During the celebrations, Pedro lifted Lilia and carried her across a bridge within the grounds of Orton Hall. The tradition symbolises a couple overcoming life’s challenges together, supporting one another through obstacles, and moving forward side by side as husband and wife.

Following the ceremony, we took full advantage of the stunning surroundings that make Orton Hall such a popular wedding venue in Peterborough.
One of the benefits of a micro wedding is having more flexibility with time, allowing us to fully explore the venue without feeling rushed. We made our way around the grounds and captured photographs in every corner of the venue, making the most of the beautiful architecture, gardens, pathways, and scenic backdrops.
The relaxed pace of the day allowed Lilia and Pedro to enjoy time together while creating a collection of natural and timeless wedding photographs.
Cake Cutting, First Dance and Evening Celebrations
The celebrations continued with the cutting of the wedding cake before family and friends gathered to watch the couple share their first dance as husband and wife.
With such a close-knit group of guests, the atmosphere felt warm and personal throughout the evening. Laughter, conversation, and happy tears filled the room as everyone celebrated alongside the newlyweds.
As the evening party got underway, guests enjoyed spending time together and creating memories that will undoubtedly be remembered for years to come.

Definitely. Most of my couples tell me they're not comfortable having their photo taken. My approach is relaxed and natural, giving gentle guidance where needed while allowing genuine moments to happen naturally. The goal is for your photographs to feel like you, not a photoshoot.
